Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the direction in the tense of performative verbs („Zeitrichtungsbezug“). The tense in the constative verbs is going straight from left to right, in the performative verbs – in the opposit direction. The paper is based on E. Koschmieder’s theory of tense.
