Summary/Abstract: The above article is devoted to the comprehensive presentation of the subject both of episcopal ordination (consecrations) of former and present bishops (as well ordinaries as auxiliaries) of three historically related dioceses: Wigry (erected in 1799), Sejny vel Augustow (erected in 1818) and Lomza (erected in 1925), as of their apostolic succession (reconstruction of episcopal ordinations’ lineages). The group of hierarchs taken into consideration in our present analysis includes following members of the Roman-Catholic episcopacy: Michael Francis Karpw.cz (1744-1803), John Clement Golaszewski (1748-1820), Polycarp Augustine Marciejewski (1761-1827), Ignatius Stanislaus Czyzewski (1752/53-1823), Nicolas John Manugiewicz (1754- 1834), Stanislaus Henry Choromanski (1769-1838), Paul Straszynski (1784- 1847), Constantine Irenaeus Lubienski (1825-1869), Peter Paul Wierzbowski (1818-1893), Anthony Baranowski (Baranauskas) (1835-1902), Anthony Karas (Karosas) (1856-1947), Romuald Jalbrzykowski (1876-1955), Stanislaus Andrew Lukomski (1874-1948), Bernard Francis Dembek (1878-1937), Thaddaeus Paul Zakrzewski (1883-1961), Paul Ceslaus Rydzewski (1893- 1951), Ceslaus Falkowski (1887-1969), Alexander Moscicki (1898-1980), Nicolas Sasinowski (1909-1982), Thaddaeus Zawistowski (* 1930), Edward Eugenius Samsel (1940-2003), Julius Paetz (* 1935), Stanislaus Stefanek (* 1936) and Thaddaeus Bronakowski (* 1959). The preceding analysis concerns episcopals consecrations (date, place, principal consecrator, coconsecrators or assistants) of 25 bishops inclusively and moreover of apostolic nuncio John Romeo Pawlowski, current titular archbishops of Sejny. All these hierarchs represent different branches of so-called “Rebibian family” (designation derived from proper name of Italian cardinal Scipione Rebiba, d. 1577), including also former Polish line (“family”), in the past connected by mistake with name of archbishop James Uchanski (d. 1581), primate of Poland.
