Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to finds of iron knives with curls on the handles in the region of the Upper Prut and the Middle Dniester. All these knives are dated to the period of the second half of 8th — 10th centuries and are connected with the antiquities of the culture of Luka-Raykovetskaya. The review of these findings in other regions of the Eastern Europe, allow to speak about their connection with the migrations of a local group of western Slavonic population. Most researchers attribute these knives as objects of cult.
