Capital Markets Union: Opportunities and Threat

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – assessment of the capital markets union attempting to identify opportunities and threats of implementation of this project from the point of view of enterprise development. Design/methodology/approach – the article is dedicated to analysis of the capital markets union concept. Due to the lack of market experience in the field of analysis, the paper uses methods of qualitative analysis, concentrating on the critical analysis and evaluation of the formal and legal solutions of the capital markets union. Findings – as a result of the analysis the paper shows the opportunities and threats of establishing a union of the capital markets. Originality/value – this publication is part of the debate on initiatives taken by the European Commission to boost economic growth and economic activity in the EU
