A Short Chronicle of 200-year-long Existence of Stock Exchanges in Poland

Summary/Abstract: Purpose – This article constitutes a retrospective look at the operations of stock exchanges in Poland as this year marks the 200th anniversary of the establishment of the first official money exchange in Poland. Design/methodology/approach – The study of archive content and the open-source subject literature on the history of operations of stock exchanges in Poland. Findings – Reaching a broad audience with the message that the history of official stock exchanges in Poland accounts for 200 years. Originality/value – The article encourages a discussion on the operations of stock exchanges in Poland.
