A Feeling of Purpose Fullness, Fear and Aggression with the Homeless

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article was to show the results of research done on homeless people in what concerns their sense of life, fear and aggression. The phenomenon of homelessness was dealt with mostly on the social plane. Researchers dealing with the psychological experiences of homeless are in Poland: M. Gromlewicz (1997), B. Gromlewicz (1997), M. Porowskiego (1995), D. M. Piekut – Brodzką (2000). The psychological experiences of homeless people have not been yet sufficiently examined in Poland. The following questionnaires were used: State – Trait Anxiety Inventory (translated by H. Choynowska), Hostility Guilt Inventory (translated by M. Choynowski), Pupouse in Life Test (translated by Z. Płużek). On the basis of the obtained results in can be concluded the decrease of sense of life with homeless people in all scales examined. It7 can be also observed lack of correspondence between decrease of sense of life and increase of fear and aggression.
