Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the Sheremetev Palace at 34 Fontanka River Embankment in Saint Petersburg, nicknamed Fountain House, in which the poetess lived for almost 35 years. Here Akhmatova began writing her “Poem without a Hero”, the drama of Enum Elish. Many of her poems and her prose are connected with this house. Fountain House became the most important location in her creative activity.
