Summary/Abstract: Work with children is always difficult, especially when the child is in a crisis situation such as the parents’ divorce and post-divorce proceedings. In addition to ordinary judicial treatment of the condition, so called family mediation might be used. It assumes that the view of the child is very important although there are some difficulties while using it as children can usually have problems with expressing what they really feel. That is why the article is devoted to the so-far-little-used method of PEI, which can greatly help in establishing communication with the child.
