Summary/Abstract: Due to the fact that recently the EU has become a target of various terrorist attacks committed mostly by radical jihadist groups, within this article we propose to evaluate the efficiency ofintelligence sharing among the competent law enforcement bodies from the EU Member States and theEuropol in the fight against this highly malicious phenomenon. Using the Paris terrorist attacks as our case study we shall reveal whether it had existed a productive exchange of information amongst the authorities in charge as requested by the EU’s supranational institutions on so many occasions. We shall further test the validity of the idea of turning the European police agency, the Europol into a pan-European central intelligence agency similar the American FBI from the perspective of the intergovernmental versus supranational nexus,
