Summary/Abstract: The article introduces the system of social services for children in Bulgaria. Described are the services that are provided for raising the child in a family environment. However, social services are also presented for children in Bulgaria that are provided in the community and those who represent an internatational type of care. The issues of decentralization, deinstitutionalization and social provision are discussed services at Community level.
