The Holy Eucharist, the sacrament of mercy as found in the work of the Rev. Michal Sopocko

Summary/Abstract: Eucharist, in life of a person of faith, is a source of personal relationship with God. Therefore, one should not be surprised, that the Servant of God – Father Michal Sopocko, made the Eucharist the center of his priestly ministry and perceived it as a revelation of God’s Divine Mercy. In his opinion, it is the fullest expression of God’s mercy among other sacraments. The Divine Mercy, revealed to us in the Eucharist relates to the involvement of Jesus Christ , who offers himself as a sacrifice to God the Father (1), as well as human participation in the Eucharistic banquet, at which a person can receive God in Holy Communion as food for everlasting life (2).
