The use of balanced scorecard in Polish hospital

Summary/Abstract: This article described Balanced Scorecard created for Polish hospitality in its classic concept. The main focus was based on the selection of the objectives of health service. Methods and tools required to support the implementation of Scorecard were presented as well in accordance with the idea of sustainable development. Polish hospitals have used all possible financial resources so far, engaged them in the treatment of patients. Today, modern hospitals are trying to act in accordance with sustainable development to avoid bankruptcy and excessive debt. Such changes are necessary and good. The effects of the assumptions and methods of Balanced Scorecard in the sustainable development concept are confirmed by American and German (best in Europe) practices.
