Modern methods of project’s scheduling in uncertainty conditions

Summary/Abstract: To achieve success in the implementation of projects companies need to adapt to changing environmental conditions. One of important factors determining the success is the ability to rapidly deploy modern methods of project planning. This paper presents theoretical and practical effective solutions for project scheduling under uncertainty occurring with real- life projects. The article shows critical chain method, more and more used in companies, which secures timely execution of the project. Then the proactive (robust) scheduling, the approach in which activities starting times and project deadline are protected, is described. Next an authors’ model, in which the timely completion of contractual milestones is secured, is presented. Finally the described approaches are compared.
