Summary/Abstract: Companies face demographical changes, globalization and growing importance of intangible assets. The new operating conditions contribute to enhance the role of managing talented employees – with superior accomplishments and development potential, in order to achieve sustainable competitive advantage. This article attempts to demonstrate that the talent management should have strategic dimension so as to contribute to organizational objectives. This paper discusses the concept of talent and talent management, emphasizes definitions and interpretation of strategic talent management. The final part presents strategic perspectives of talent management.
