BOSNIA AND HERZEGOVINA IS A NATIONAL STATE OF BOSNIANS

Summary/Abstract: The author of the paper claims that in Bosnia and Herzegovina for centuries – because of its historical, non-tribal nationality and malty-confessional structure of its population – denied territorial identity, in addition, political and cultural identity of Bosnians from its neighbours – as the provider of civil sovereignty. Specifically, as author claims, Bosnia was not tribal but a civic state, since the beginning of its medieval state existence. Bosnia is, in fact, the national state of Bosnians. In Bosnia and Herzegovina live Croats, Serbs and Bosniaks who, together with national minorities make up the political nation of citizens (nationals) – Bosnians, citizens of internationally recognized independent and sovereign state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In this regard, the author believes that the historically established fact should be entered in Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will contribute to political stability of Bosnia – the state of Bosnians – on the road towards European Union.
