Supply Chain Management focused on modern service-based concepts

Summary/Abstract: Supply Chain Management has been in general moving from models and purposes narrowly focused on goods towards more universal models that focus on partnership, value networks and services. This article draws attention to the fact that the marketing concepts of service dominant logic (S-D logic) and service science in many respects are a good theoretical basis for the development of Supply Chain Management in the context of service orientation.
