Summary/Abstract: The objective of this research was to establish, on a sample of 132 primary school students, how the subjects assess their parents, how they position their family on the Beavers scale of family functioning, and to what extent the variables of tri-generational family and preschool care in kindergartens or by grandparents correlate with a series of observed variables. Through use of correlation metrics and descriptive statistics we found connections between the students' assessments and observed criteria variables, and gained an overview of the most represented family type in the sample in terms of the configurational and structural typology and the model of family mapping on the Beavers system scale.
