Summary/Abstract: As a prioress of the monastery sister Urszula Ledóchowska lead a fruitful and educational work of Polish and Roman Catholic spirit for Polish community institutions in Petersburg, Denmark and Finland since 1907. Starting from 1915, she delivered lectures on Poland's topics to the public in Scandinavia. Her aim was to explain Poland's merits for the sake of European history and culture and she presented the drama of the country's partitions and its common people situation during the I World War. It was Polish territories where the most bloody war atrocities took place. This was a less known fact in Western and Northern Europe hence the nun was writing the paper articles and public appeals resulting in gaining many influential persons of the epoch for the cause of charity actions. After the war had finished, as a prioress of the nuns working with children, she put stress on pervading education and taking care of Polish children of poor families‟ background.
