Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the application of Just In Time method in an organization. In order to achieve the objective, the essence of the discussed method and its key assumptions were required to be indicated. Subsequently, those considerations were followed by types of waste, which should be eliminated by Just In Time. Furthermore, the traditional supply management was compared with the Just In Time system. The structure of the article also includes a broad description of stages of implementation of Just In Time method with a deeper characteristics of the final stage, i.e. the implementation of kanban cards. The next section presents and describes factors affecting the effectiveness of the implementation of Just In Time method. The last part of the article depicts in a critical way some benefits and risks of implementation of Just In Time method. It was noted that Just-in-time is not a universal method for each type of enterprise.
