The Assertion of Young People After Leaving Children’s Homes at the Labour Market in the International Context

Summary/Abstract: The paper describes the problems of young people leaving the children´s homes, i.e. they leave the institutions of the alternative care after completing 18 years. Due to their position at the labour market, we describe factors having an influence – either a positive one or when young people are disadvantaged at the labour market. Subject is presented in the international comparison. The research of this theme in the Slovak Republic is analysed in a greater detail.
