Summary/Abstract: The paper analyses the mutual effect of the Vc and the Adriatic-Ionian Corridors as well as their importance in the traffic connection of the Middle Adriatic with the Danube Basin from several aspects. The first aspect is the positional one due to the fact that the southern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina is a contact area of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Croatia and Montenegro. The second corridor is related to the definition of the basic transport network of the West Balkan countries within the framework of the EU initiative and the effect on the transport connection of the Middle Adriatic and the Danube Basin. This paper contains an analysis of the state of the existing documentation departing from the strategies of the traffic development, physical planning, study and project documentation of the said corridors in individual countries.
