Summary/Abstract: Fatwa and judiciary (kaza) are two important institutions in Islam and Ottoman law. While the official judicial activity is carried out by the accident body, the fatwa institution is far from formal, cheaper and easier to judge. After informing us about the fatwa institution in our work, the differences between the institution and the accident are examined.
