Summary/Abstract: A letter written by Witold Zygmunt Kulerski to his son Wiktor in Warsaw, January 1982 is a source of opinion on political situation in Poland. It was written during described events, by the person who had been politically active for a dozen of years, and therefore had a huge knowledge in this field. He was not only a witness of history, but also its creator, and – unfortunately – its victim. It also need to be highlighted that the addressee of the letter was Kulerski’s son, who hardly avoided imprisoning (his brother, Marek, was imprisoned, though), and had to hide as he was wanted by the Internal Security Service. The below presented document may be considered as an important element of current discussion on political situation in the turn of 1981 and 1982.
