Summary/Abstract: This paper reflects on the universe of enterprise, where themediation activities are more and more important considering thefact that the inter-comprehension is not a piece of evidence and, consequently, conflicts between “we” and “they” could appear anytime. The cultural aspects assimilated by every group give them anorientation system according to which they perceive and interpretthe communication situation, construct their discourse, act andinteract. The confrontation between these orientation systems frequentlydamages the achievement of a common project without the mediatorintervention who “translates” for ones the meaning universe of theothers in order to dissipate the misunderstandings – source ofunproductive frustrations and frictions. Besides, he encourages themto exploit creatively their diversity. The paper finally proposes that the mediation be also treated fromthe perspective of the academic studies as a way of building bridgesbetween the future professionals’ needs and the(theoretical/practical) skills taught and required at university.
