Summary/Abstract: Christians and Pagan mutual evaluations undertaken during the crusades and pilgrimages, asreflected in the tales spread from 9th century to 16th centuries, reveal ethnic values recognized assuch by both parties as patterns of human behaviour. Consequently, the purpose of our paper willbe to detect a positive side of this medieval man who is situated in the middle of the clashesbetween these different mentalities.
