Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes Mt 12,22-37 of the Hebrew version of the Gospel according to St. Matthew (ShemTob). This Hebrew version is preserved in the Jewish polemical treatise called !xwb !ba (Spain, XIV AD). The first chapter contains a translation of Mt 12,22-37. The next two show the literary structure of this periscope and the problem of the origin of MtShemTob. The main section contain exegesis of MtShemTob 12,22-37. The analysis focuses, among others, a comparison of the canonical Greek version and the Hebrew. The last chapter shows theological investigations on 12,22-37.
