The organist’s formation in the diocese of koszalin-kolobrzeg

Summary/Abstract: The subject of this article is an organist’s formation in the Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg in the light of the law concerning this issue. The attempt is to present the diocese rules concerning the organists’ preparation and their ministry. Moreover, there are some examples that show the practical realization of these rules (for example through the establishing of the Diocesan Study Centre for Organists) To reach this aim, questionnaires were framed to make possible to collect information about the ministry and formation of an organist in the Diocese of Koszalin-Kołobrzeg. The questionnaire was conducted in 2010/2011 among parish priests and organists. The author of this article hopes that the undertaken topic of an organists’ formation be, at least to some extent, helpful to better the organists’ qualifications and exclude, if necessary, all misuses or deficiency.
