Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the problem of the funding sources in micro, small and medium enterprises. The purpose of this article is to determine what are the differences in the method of financing between micro, small and medium enterprises. The study showed that the use of foreign sources of financing grows with increasing size of the company. This trend is consistent with theoretical models discussed in the literature and research carried out abroad. It should be noted, however, that for all SMEs main source of financing are own funds. For all SMEs lack of need is the basic reason for not using foreign capital.
