Summary/Abstract: This article deals with the relevance and effectiveness of social support for young people at risk of exclusion from the labour market and the unemployed. The basis for this analysis is the knowledge of the specific needs of young people in need of special support in the labour market and the evaluation of the current work of the Voluntary Labour Corps in this area. The author points to the need for reprocess operations of public labour market institutions, in the provision of comprehensive and personalized services. Refers to the concept of new public management and the EU youth policy framework.
