Keywords: Oszkár Petrogalli (1874–1925);minority history;public life of Hungarian in Slovakia between the two world wars
Summary/Abstract: The original compilation is part of a larger program. There are only a few public figures of the Hungarians in Slovakia about whom, in their lifetime or after their death, there was published a similar compilation. The name of Petrogalli has mostly been forgotten, while in the first phase of the minority history he was the most integrating actor of the Hungarian opposition policy, and the most consistent advocate of the unity or, at least, the cooperation of the Hungarian opposition parties. In addition, he even tried, in the interest of joint political action, to consult with the German parties, and he was one of the few who had already had a parliamentary experience from before the First World War.
