Summary/Abstract: At the beginning author presents situations of Catholic press in Poland after 1945. “Tygodnik Warszawski” published between 1945–1948 and was an important organ of Katolickie Towarzystwo Wydawnicze “Rodzina Polska”. The weekly was in group of Catholic social periodicals for educated people and opposing to new communism ideology in Poland after 1945. That is why “Tygodnik Warszawski” was closed and its editorial staff was under arrested in 1948. In the main part of article Kristanova gives general characteristic of the weekly, its programme and writes about people who were in editorial staff. There were Zygmunt Kaczyński, Jerzy Braun, Zygmunt Choromański, Edward Grzechnik, Zygmunt Wądołowski, Marian Grzegorczyk and Józef Kwasiborski. “Tygodnik Warszawski” published religious, social and cultural problems.
