Summary/Abstract: Christians, following their master and teacher Jesus Christ who healed the deaf-and-dumb, ought to treat deaf and dumb people with great respect. They deserve to be in the limelight of christian communities as the issue of their participation in spiritual goods of Church was raised. In this article I want to present the attitude of Church to the deaf-and-dumb, then on the basis of some documents I would like to show the necessity of catechisation of the mentioned group of people. Through its actions, contemporary Church wants to show that the poor, the sick and the disabled are the privileged addressees of the divine message that entered the human history.
