Summary/Abstract: In the United States of America, increasing trends of people are identifying as ,,Spiritual but not Religious”. This new faith identity is unique-it does not bare the same pattern or logic as historic secularization, but is rather an entirely different phenomenon. The Christian Ecumenical Mission movement must take this reality seriously as Christians discern how God is at work in the world and how Christians are to participate in such work. This paper explores the spiritual identity of the ,,Spiritual but not Religious” and then works towards a missional theology that recognizes and values this identity.
