Summary/Abstract: From being a traditional hot spot of conflicts, then entering into its longest peaceful age, Europe (the European Union) is now increasingly becoming a promoter of peace and an important actor in conflict resolution. This paper aims to identify the conflict resolution mechanisms available to the EU and proposes new analytical tools by distinguishing direct and indirect mechanism of conflict resolution.
