Summary/Abstract: In this paper we deal with determination of such idea as civil society as a more recent sociological term. Then determine the relationship between civil society and the political system, as well as the necessary conditions for their harmonious relationship. Also, we analyze the chronological development of the civil society in Bosnia and Herzegovina and problems that affect its development.
