Summary/Abstract: The article highlights the works by Yanka Kupala and Yakub Kolas shown in the aesthetic reception of Ales Razanau. This famous contemporary Belarusian poet analyzes the peculiarities of each classical author’s worldview and characteristic features of their poetic systems. Razanau focuses mainly on Yanka Kupala’s poem “Peasant”, and in his profound analysis he aims at avoiding “hackneyed stereotypes” and reveals the essence of the text, its national and universal senses.
