Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to present the reconstruction and the existing state of the library of the Historical Archives of Sarajevo - after the 1992-1995 war,and moving to new premises where this archival institution is still working today. With all the problems - from the space, through the scattering and records of the archive material and the library fund, and the equipment for the application of modern technologies in the archivist, a special emphasis was given to archival material from the period of socialist Yugoslavia.
