Summary/Abstract: The novel “It is Impossible to Forget” written by Uladzimir Karatkievich is the object of a multisided analysis carried out in the article. Special attention is paid to the autobiographical features of the writer’s first novel, to the correlation of the author’s and hero’s positions. The peculiarities of the novel’s structure consisting in the unity of the historical and modern episodes, as well as in incorporating verse fragments into prosaic text are investigated. The meaning of the artistic theme in the plot development is revealed.
