Summary/Abstract: In this paper we analyze some specific parts of the novel Chronicle in Stone of Ismail Kadare, such as: the untitled italic texts and the other texts that stand under some different titles that are called: Fragment of a chronicle, Old Sose’s news (in lieu of a chronicle), Words of unknown persons, Draft of a memorial plaque, which lie outside the basic text structure, which consists of 18 chapters. The relation of these texts with the basic text is relative. Although the texts are related to one another, it can be said that those that are not included in the chapters structure can also stand as digressions, because even if they are completely eliminated, they would not endanger the status of the basic text. But, on the other hand, their existence carries an important role in the novel's poetry, also arouses interest in analyzing the way that different narrative models are used in these texts.
