Summary/Abstract: Online fraud, identity theft, disclosures of user names and passwords are inherent risks for Internet users. With some simplification, and probably in order to achieve a greater media effect, these criminal acts are often referred to as cyberterrorism. But the notions of cybercrime and cyberterrorism are not identical. While material gain is usually the motive for a cybercriminal, cyberterrorists have ideological inspirations, often seeking to give ideas which they find important as much publicity as possible. But the means to which cybercriminals and cyberterrorists resort are the same.
