Summary/Abstract: The article analyses acts of the Municipal Council, specifically – the decision for adoption of the municipal budget. It deliberates on the legal nature of this type of act. It examines in detail contradictions in the case law on the matter and the problem of judicial control over the acts of municipal councils as bodies of local selfgovernance.
