Summary/Abstract: The reaction of Warburg to the horror and destruction of the 1914–1918 period assumed the form of an attempt at creating „war iconography” (a large collection of photographs, postcards and maps) and overcoming with their assistance images of the „demons” of war: anti-Semitism and nationalism.
