Summary/Abstract: The article defines conceptualization of the emotion of pleasure, determines the way and foundations of the idea of pleasure, and describes how linguistic means preserve extralinguistic information. The analysis is based on a relatively small number (18 units) of phraseological units of the Belarusian language that express the idea of satisfaction, The statistic data corroborate the tendency for limited reflection of the positive in phraseology. The results obtained reveal differences between the naïve and scientific ways of defining the emotion of pleasure. In naïve consciousness the results of emotional state of pleasure (broad smile, hand gestures, breathing, etc.) are mistaken for the reasons. Besides, the emotions of joy and pleasure may be closely related, and still differ from each other.
