Summary/Abstract: The article presents the basics of the general concept of the pre-implementation analysis of the content management systems in the organization. It is primarily the result of the literature research and practical experience of the author. The main purpose of the article is to present selected aspects of the general concept of the pre-implementation analysis methodology for the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system. The elements of this concept have been positively verified in a few medium-sized industrial and commercial enterprises. It should be noted that in the literature on IT systems, there is still a lack of the systematic approach to the implementation of the ECM systems. Accordingly, this article is an attempt to the partial fulfillment of this gap. The first part of the article presents the most important concepts in this area. The principal content of the article is the second which describes the proposed approach to pre-implementation analysis supplemented by the examples based on the case study.
