Summary/Abstract: The numerous memorialist papers appeared during the second half of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century about the 1848-1849 Revolution analyze apart from the revolutionary events of that year a series of aspects related to the life and activity of its leaders of which we can mention Avram Iancu, Ioan Axente Sever, Nicolae Vlăduţiu, Ioan Buteanu and so on. So through this article we aim at bringing into the historians and history hobbyists attention a brief narration of „small memoirs” dedicated to the prefect of the Campia Legion, Nicolae Vlăduţiu, written by the Nestor of the Romanian press from the second half of the 19th century, George Bariţ, and published in the pages of the Transylvanian journal from 1886, the main press organ belonging to Astra. This paper of “small memoirs” brings a valuable contribution to a better knowledge of family Vladuţiu’s from Bogata of Mureş roots and genealogy, of his intellectual formation, of the priest's participation into the revolutionary events from 1848-1849 and also of the sufferance and the material losses endured by him and by his family during the revolution and during the next period (Fig. 1-3). As a conclusion, taking as a starting point this memorialist paper written by George Bariţ, the pieces of information provided by Isaia Moldovan in his memoirs, the information offered by the prefect of the Third Field Legion, Vasile Moldovan and those identified in the reports of the prefects Avram Iancu, Ioan Axente Sever and Simion Balint, we can re-make the life and the activity of the prefect of the Câmpia Legion, under all aspects as it has been reflected in the collective memory of some comrades-in-arms during the revolution and of some other people who have met him in different life aspects.
