Summary/Abstract: The competitiveness of the textile industry is given by the ability of the enterprises to implement innovation. The improvement of the innovation capacity in textile enterprises is supported by the Knowledge matrix for innovation (KMI), an economic instrument meant for the quantification of the intangible assets. The intangible assets of a company, such as training methodology, IP rights, client / suppliers portfolio etc, are going to be better structured by using the KMI. The Erasmus Plus strategic partnership project “Knowledge matrix for innovation and competitiveness in textile enterprises” has as main aim the implementation of the KMI. The project’s partners have defined in the first year the structure of the KMI, with Elements, Criteria and Factors. Based on this structure, an online questionnaire was configured on the Moodle e-learning instrument in all of the partners languages, meant for completion by textile enterprises. 64 enterprises on consortium level answered the questionnaire. The related Benchmarking Report was performed at European, national and enterprise level. The results present relevant data for the enterprises, in order to improve the knowledge inventory, eliminate redundant assets, improve exploitation of non-productive assets and bridge knowledge gaps. The benchmarking reports include the relative position of the textile enterprises with regard to the national average, the European average and the average built by the enterprises of the same size. These Open Educational Resources are going to be presented in e-learning format to the target group of young professionals and decision-making factors in textile enterprises and are available on the e-learning instrument at the URL addresses www.texmatrix.eu and www.advan2tex.eu/portal .
