Summary/Abstract: On the basis of social and philosophical analysis of the phenomenon of charity and philanthropy, this article attempts to disclose the relationship of morality and business, uncovers understanding the value of moral and ethical factors in the economy. It is concluded that the relationships between morality and business are considerably complex and contradictory. In the conditions of the civilized market, as opposed to those of the unregulated market, ethical values have a positive consolidating impact. The understanding of the impact of ethical and moral factors on the economic activity is considered as being important for enhancing the effectiveness of the national economy.
