Summary/Abstract: The study represents a pre-testing of a social and emotional learning program taken over from the British experience and developed in Romania aiming at the research of major aspects regarding the quality of the instructive-educational process. The research is a qualitative one, developed on the semi-structural observation over 47 children from Iasi. There is a wide variety of obtained results and conclusions, confirming the advanced hypothesis regarding the best practices in the teaching-learning process, the attractiveness of programs for children and the improvement of the learning environment. The study ends with a series of useful recommendations for the practice of integrating social and emotional learning programs in the Romanian educational system.
