Summary/Abstract: In his paper, Against Narrativity, Galen Strawson presents a seminal criticism of the general view regarding the narrative self, advancing his own theory, that of the existence of an episodic self. This perspective is seen as opposing different narrativist accounts of the self, proposed by Daniel Dennett, amongst others. The present paper will make a comparative analysis of Dennett and Strawson theories of the self. I will argue that, as far as we eliminate different problematic aspects of the two theories, some specific elements presented in both theories converge when interpret them from a multiple self perspective.
