Summary/Abstract: Such a severe and imperative experiment, as Kant did in Critique of Pure Reason, couldn’t fill the entire 18th century cultural scene. Although fertile, the necessity of a cultural variety of this period represented the cause for the abandonment of the reason asceticism in imagination’s benefit. And yet a simultaneous and further reading is very seasonable. One such writing belongs to August Bürger, precisely Marvellous Travels on Water and Land: Campaigns and Comical Adventures of the Baron of Münchhausen.
